Delia Pachiu is a lawyer with over 13 years of professional experience in business law, Delia is our specialized external consultant in the D&B department of Energy and Natural Resources. As a senior lawyer in the field of energy, she has a very thorough expertise in the electricity and renewable energy sector.
Delia graduated the Law Faculty of the West University and holds a master’s degree in international business law. She further holds an LL.M. degree issued by Derby University in the UK, as Master of Laws in Transnational Oil, Gas and Energy Law. Delia is fluent in English, German and Italian.
Delia provided legal assistance and ensured regulatory compliance of energy related operations to investors active in the Romanian energy sector. Her experience includes development of greenfield energy projects, mergers and acquisitions in the electricity sector and in the natural resources industry, regulatory advice for projects regarding the development and operations in the field of oil and natural gas sector.
Delia is constantly involved in the drafting of national regulations and laws in the energy sector. She advised the European Commission as national expert on energy law, supervising the implementation of relevant EU Regulations into national legislation and is constantly providing regulatory input to various initiatives of the AmCham Bucharest Energy Task Force, PATRES – the Organization of Renewable Energy Producers in Romania and Energy Policy Group.
Delia is author of many energy related articles and international legal guides, founding member of the Energy Policy Group (EPG), legal consultant for the Organization of Renewable Energy Producers in Romania (PATRES) and exclusive national expert on Romanian energy law for the Association of European Energy Consultants (AEEC).
