Emergency Ordinance (GEO) no. 71\/2025<\/strong>, Romania has transposed\u00a0<strong>European Directive no. 2226\/2023<\/strong>, known as \u201c<strong>DAC8<\/strong>\u201d, which regulates crypto-asset transactions and aligns the national legislation with\u00a0<strong>Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and EU standards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong>\u00a0first reporting<\/strong>\u00a0will cover\u00a0<strong>the year 2026<\/strong>\u00a0and be submitted in<strong>\u00a02027<\/strong>, when crypto platforms will transmit accurate and complete information regarding users\u2019 crypto-asset transactions to the\u00a0<strong>National Agency for Fiscal Administration
